Wild Haven Wonder & Prayer Warriors !
Are You Ready to CELEBRATE Our
FIRST Annual "Gotcha Day" March 25, 2023
with Wild Haven & Co?
Know someone who may consider joining you in becoming a Wild Haven Wonder Warrior?
Invite them, too!

We ask every survivor to ask themselves these questions. Now, how about you?:
- Am I feeling like a manic human doing more than a human being?
- Do I suffer from any form of chronic inflammation, chronic pain, and/or chronic ailment (mental or physical)?
- Is my medical chart growing?
- Am I weary and tired of trying so hard to do "all the right things" and still feel like I'm "not good enough?"
- Am I ready to stop fighting, flighting, freezing and fawning (people pleasing), and merely surviving?
- Am I a woman who's ready to start thriving a different way?
If you answered yes to any (or all) of the above. Then you'll definitely want to join us in our brave, safe space of grace on our Wild Haven Mountain amidst the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.
You'll also get to experience a peace, and a piece, of What, Where, and How we equip and empower survivors to get rooted in Truth, renew their minds, and restore their bodies as they re-align their spirit, mind, THEN body to rebuild the ruins - from ashes to beauty. (Isaiah 61:3-4)
Wild Haven is just that. A haven in the midst of the wild outdoors, where you can get away from the rat race of the world and move at your own sacred pace towards hope and healing.
You can opt to walk alongside, wade in, or dreamily float down the New River and bask in the sun. Maybe enjoy a picnic by our Kairos waterfall.
Of course, on nearly a 100 acre mountain, there are plenty of trails through the forest to hike, or if you like, you can blaze your own!
Simply notice and experience the awe and wondrous joys of nature as your soul comes back to life breathing in the fresh mountain air!
We sincerely believe we are each "Designed Naturally Awesome" down to our very DNA to heal in, with, and from God's creation as it reveals God's extraordinary nature and remarkable creativity.
We pray you'll RESTore with us, so you can return home transformed to ROAR another day - a better way!
Why Are We Celebrating?
“Gotcha Day” is a special celebration!! It’s the day we signed and stepped in faith to “seal the deal” on the mountain land!! We’ll be sharing “behind the scenes” happenings, and WHY we do WHAT we do as we invite you to experience a "peace" of HOW we do it! It will be a wonderful time of fun, food, and most of all fellowship in the awe and wonder of all that God has done, is doing, and will do through our partnership - better together.

The River House Inn & Restaurant is a wonderful place to stay as they have been one of the friendliest neighbors we've met and had the privilege of boarding with. They also provide an amazing breakfast to boot with a beautiful view of the New River, too! It's a healthy walk down the road from our Wild Haven Mountain! Tell them Trish McCall sent you! Rooms range from $125-225.
OR
Dove II Cottage AirBNB -a charming cottage right on the river just down the road from us.
Trust me: You can't get any closer and more affordable than these options between Spring-Fall near West Jefferson. Since everything gets booked sooner than later, please reserve your room ASAP!
If they don't have space and you don't want to camp, check out VRBO and AirBnB in the Grassy Creek, NC and surrounding area.
**We can't wait for our retreat center to be complete, so we can all stay on the Wild Haven property together! If you would like to partner with us, please scroll down the page and consider donating to help us build it sooner than later AND help more survivors become thrivers!
Food Considerations
If you're staying at the River House Inn & Restaurant, you'll get a complementary hot breakfast for up to 2 people. If you're not staying there, you can still book a yummy hot breakfast at the River House Inn & Restaurant, just be sure to book your reservation 24 hrs in advance! They serve breakfast 8:30-10am for $15/person.
Your lunch is included with your mini-retreat! We'll have a soup, salad, and/or sandwich buffet spread after everyone has checked in around 11:30am.
Because this is a restorative mini-retreat, we aim to provide you mostly with healing and healthy foods, but may have a few treats (no cheats), too!
*We will do our best to have gluten free, dairy free, and nut free options. However, if you are more comfortable bringing a cooler, please do! (Trish thrives that way, too, so no guilty feelings :)
If you are staying the night or you decide to stay later than 7pm - we'll be gathering around the firepit for some roasted hotdogs and S'mores ...and fireside chats!
What to Pack
Like we say to our retreat participants.... this is exactly how it reads
"It really depends on what you WANT to do and if you are flying rather than driving. Everything will be invitational, and none of it is mandatory - except the initial housekeeping- meet and greet.
Small backpack and 1+ Liter Water Bladder/Bottle recommended for staying hydrated and carry journals, pens, and a few nature finds for a project we like to do!
We will likely be offering a few of these activities (weather dependent):
- Breath Work
- Yoga (if you are driving, please bring a mat, blocks/props, blankets if you have them as we have limited supplies)
- Hiking - Boots or Tennis Shoes. *We will do the easiest trails for group hikes. Boots are necessary for the more difficult grades if you'd like to hike them during your free time.
- River/Creek Explorations - Sandals with straps like Keens or Tevas are suggested.
- Forest Nature Walks (open exploration)
- Bible Study (limited internet on the mountain, please download a Bible App or bring a Hardcopy Bible)
- Journaling - we will provide a pen and journal, but we invite you to bring your own if you have a special one you like to use.
- Artistic Expressions (glue and paint will likely be involved) - an old shirt or cover shirt is recommended.
- Instructional Cooking Session
- Firepit - expect to smell a bit like smoke.
Please check the weather and bring clothes and supplies that you feel are needed for your comfort.
The retreat is not weather dependent, however outdoor activities are. Temps above 40 degrees or if light rain/sunny - we are still likely going to be outside for several activities!"
Physical Abilities
Until we get our Accessible Retreat Center built and purchase ATVs, retreat participants must be able to walk without assistance (with the exception of hiking poles or walking sticks or canes) up and down stairs and across uneven terrain.
Here's the thing, my mama CAN do ALL these things with a bum knee. We will have shuttles to the top of the mountain and back down.
The mindful movement sessions may include, but are not limited to, breath work, postures of prayer, worship however you choose to move, walk'n'talks by the streams/waterfall (with the option to stick your feet in the water, too), and hikes that will be outdoors for the most part on uneven ground and will either be on mulch, grass, dirt (mud if it is wet), or gravel.
Hikes will require tennis shoes at minimum, but hiking boots are preferred.
The pace of walks and hikes will be set by the Trish to accommodate the slowest hiker. Otherwise, movement sessions will all be self paced.
Optional Activities
Because this is a short day-long mini-retreat, there will be little free time between 11am-7pm. However, we invited you to come early or stay later and explore what you freely want to!
You are more than welcome to walk'n'talk, sit'n'sip, and shoot the breeze on your own or with one another!
Now, if you want a little different scenery than our mountain land, here are some other activities:
Fishing, Kayaking supplies can be rented at The River House
Here are some more nearby attractions in case you want to venture further away - and we absolutely encourage you to bring your spouse and/or a friend and extend your stay by a day or 2, too!
Brave, Safe Space of Grace
Again, just like we share with our retreat participants ...
"It is our mission to provide a safe place within a trusted community of warriors who have "been there, done that" and who willingly hold space for those who have experienced trauma to lend a hand and lift a prayer.

Thank you for your interest in a
RESTore to R.O.A.R Retreat
With Wild Haven & Co.!
(Keep Scrolling! If you're so inclined, we invite you to help us serve more survivors to become thrivers through our services at WH&C!)
This is just the beginning of some amazing wild adventures and discoveries ahead as we journey better together! Living Whole, Soul to Sole, so that we can live the life we love, doing what we love, with the ones we love!

Right now, you have the opportunity to help us provide a brave, safe space for more survivors to move at their own sacred pace towards hope and healing to become thrivers!
We just bought nearly 100 acres in the NC Blue Ridge Mountains near West Jefferson/Boone and are just about to break ground to build bathroom/shower facilities and a pavilion so that we can begin to host retreats there in 2023. We desire to bring hope and healing to more survivors to show them HOW to live whole, soul to sole, and restore to roar, too! Will you help us fulfill our mission and partner with us to see our vision come true as we rescue, restore, and rebuild ruins from ashes to beauty as we come alongside trafficked survivors and foster-adoptive families who have experienced trauma to experience freedom from the lies that bind their spirit, minds, and bodies in chronic pain?!?
And, of course, you will be invited to future RESTore to ROAR retreats up there, too!
