Trauma-Sensitive Movement Classes are donation based and include a variety of gentle, accessible experiences—from yoga and mindful movement to breathwork, mobility, somatic practices, nature-based movement, strength and balance training, and joyful dance. Every class is designed to help you safely reconnect with your body while nurturing physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and relational well-being.

I Was Once One of Them.

After suffering with 19 medical diagnoses for over 10 years, even as a nurse and fitness instructor for crying out loud, I discovered what many people who are merely surviving after negative experiences are missing: healing requires more than a "suck it up, no pain, no gain" mentality, performance driven scales, knowing medical diagnoses, treating symptoms, and talk therapy (though there's a place for the latter 3, they are often not the first or only solutions).

Today, Wild Haven Sanctuary serves those suffering with chronic pain or disease, loss/grief, stress/burnout, life changing transitions, caregiver-fatigue, as well as "big T" or multiple "little t" traumas.

We offer experiences that are often missing from medical healthcare systems and recovery programs that we have found to increase hope, connection, and vitality for longterm impact and life-long sustainability: gentle, trauma-informed, whole-person (spiritual, mental, emotional, physical and relational) care through nature, movement, nourishment, and supportive community.
